This book shares the inspiring life of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, a respected Buddhist meditation master and scholar. It includes stories and experiences from his life of study, retreat, and teaching. These events helped shape him into the warm and wise teacher he became. His early life and training offer a real look at Tibetan culture and the challenges faced by Tibetans who fled their homeland and worked to continue their traditions in exile.
In the first part of the book, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche tells his own early life story. The second part contains memories from his wife, his grandson and spiritual heir Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, Tenga Rinpoche, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche, Orgyen Topgyal Rinpoche, Kenpo Pema Sherab, the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Trulshik Rinpoche, and Pewar Tulku. Together, these voices provide a clear and meaningful understanding of his life and contributions to Tibetan Buddhism.
